Default grinding

So, I know that I'm not the only one out there that has experienced grinding while shifting. I've been driving a manual tranny for 31 years. So, I have an idea of what I'm doing. But, every once in a while, it grinds going into 2nd. Like a missed gear. Anyone else out there experiencing the same thing and what did you do about it? I took it back to the dealer and left it there for a day. Of course, they told me that they couldn't reproduce the grind.

my 03 don't grind(original tranny)....but sometimes a little notchy in 2nd if you don't rev it up past at least 2500 from 1st(preferrably above 3500)......all gears engage like a hot knife through butter. i enjoy the positive feel or feedback from the nissan 6m/t.
