I notice people talking about Nismo grounding wires on occasion. Does Nismo really make grounding wires or are these ebay grouding wires with a nismo sticker on them?

 

not the ones on ebay... these are the actual "NISSAN MOTOR SPORTS" ground wires...

They are produced by Nissan Motorsports USA, not by "Nismo" or Nissan Motorsports International.

Theyre actually manufactured by Sun Auto Japan for Nismo.

Anybody have a PDF of the installation guide for the "nismo" grounding kit install? I'd like to know what I'm getting into before installing.

FYI, it doesn't matter who makes the wires. They're just wires. Anything that isn't corroded will work fricking great.

 

They also don't do anything besides look fancy under the hood =) Ask any professional shop! Sorry to burst ur bubble.

grounding wires are a joke. dont bother and spend on something that is worth the money...

 

grounding wires a joke if you buy them thinking you'll magically gain 5whp. they do have their uses...this has been discussed ad nauseum around here

 

joke or not, does anybody have a scanned copy of the instructions that came with the nismo kit? The only thing I've been able to find are the instructions from another website (tree fiddy)z-tech.com where the have a tutorial on "5 point max grounding" install.

according to a recent article in super street mag,they dyno test sun auto hyper system grounding kit along with the buddy club kit and the before and after dyno sheet showed a pick up of around 2-5 hp..kinda hard to swallow but hey to each there own..

 

No no no no. The JDM NISMO wire is made of Japanese wire not wire from the U. S. Thats why they cost 3 times as much.

 

Definitely hard to swallow when you conceder the error margin of a dynometer is plus-minus 1/2 percent.

oh, and Lowes does NOT sell the quality of terminals and wire you will find in grounding wires. most ring terminals at home improvement stores are small gauge and tin plated (or some other low conductive metal/alloy) just to give you an idea.....copper, silver, and gold are all 100x more conductive than other metals.
