If you truly want weight savings, go with a:

-Odyssey PC680 or PC540
-Baker Battery
-Braille (Can be found at edoperformance.com)

Optima is not very light. It is good for those with stereos however.

ive got the odyssey pc545, no troubles starting the car on a cold engine in 20 degree temps, and it saved me 24lbs! Only $80 to boot.

The Braille is a great piece....the best I've used so far, and I've used nearly all of them over the past few years.

If you are after a long life battery, I actually prefer the red top to the yellow. I've blown up 2 yellows in as many years, which I have never done with any other battery, ever.

Is the Braille battery capable of supporting a 500W stereo system in addition to all the other auto functions? Thanks.
