i no i am going to get killed if moms find out. if the car is messed up i can put back the stock one and hope warrty will cover it.
Oh ok. Then that's a different story. That's pretty crazy that something like that screwed up after being installed by a professional ASE cert. mechanic. I hope you find a fix for it. As long as the car is working, Mom doesn't have to know Don't let this put you down as far as modding. I think it's more a learning experience. The more you try to find out what is wrong the more tech. savvy you will be. I'm sure you'll find the fix, just a matter of time. But I'm just curious...Was this part working perfectly fine in the previous car? I would try to find out if this part is defective. If it was installed right, that I think, could be the alternate possibility.

The posts by XBS are exactly why we need more info from ekoms31. There is so much more than a tranny issue that could be causing these symptoms. Do either of you have a CEL light coming on? I had a grounding issue once and the car did some crazy stuff. Took it to the dealership and they resolved the problem relatively fast with the help of the Consult II.

Ok NO CEL Light, this is whats wierd. On my way home from work i was so pissed that i was mashing the whole time ( sometimes i can get it to work when i do and i have to stay on it ) So anyways for 40 miles im driving the car very hard over 4K the whole time. I get home and its fixed cant dupilicate the problem, starts running fine etc. Then i go to a friends house. for about 4 hrs. the car cools down. when i leave the problem is back! My friend said it could be the spark plug. I do have the hose that goes to the intake tube loose and came off? maybe some debree got into the combustion chamber I dont know. Will do more test tommarow.

I'm assuming it is while in "D" so when the car is in "N" or "P" and you give it gas, what is happening? I changed the VB on my own car and I am no where near a mechanic, just mechanically inclined. This install is not that bad at all, more messy than anything and there is very little to do incorrectly if you follow some simple instructions. The tranny fluid is frickin expensive at $10+ per quart and you need around 12 qts to do a complete replacement so I can easily see filtering the barely used fluid for this as long as everything was clean in the process. The real pain is getting the fluid level back to the correct amount as Nissan's dip stick is not easily interpreted and when I aksed multiple various mechanics they all had different responses. It is however, crucial to get the level right and would be easiest to take it to the dealership since they can hook up the consult II and check the fluid temp against the dip stick reading. I almost wonder if someone sold you a trashed unit though since it came out of a high HP car.
XBS double check the tranny fluid

I would recommend for both of you to check your intake connections (including vaccum lines) and check for exhaust leaks. From there, check your spark plugs to make sure they are ok. Not sure if the ECU would pick up on a bad coil pack or not but plug inspection might give an indication if that would be the case. If you have 25k+ miles it isn't a bad idea to just replace them. I know they claim you can go for 100K but your car will run better with new plugs and it is relatively cheap and easy. Do either of you have HF cats? If so, you may want to check them and make sure they haven't gone bad and plugged up the exhaust. Also, if you have the stock airbox, check for leaves or something else blocking air flow and clean the filter or replace if looking pretty dirty.

UPDATE: The hose that goes to the intake tube came off. Was probally like that for a week. My theory is that some debri got into the intake and on the spark plugs right now its on the rack getting a BBK installed once that is done I will see if the problem continues. my car is a MANUAL so tranns fluid wouldnt affect me. Check for vacuum leaks and let me know what happens. Peace

...I wouldn't send my kid to the high school you went to either, considering you can't spell "grammar" and "high school" correctly.

OMG your spelling is horrendous. Like it's actually distracting to the point that it might prevent someone who would want to help from actually reading your post. And even still they would have to overcome the feeling that they are expending energy on someone who takes effort in making themself seem mentally challenged.

But good luck and happy holidays!!

Let me get this straight, you put a valve body from a different car into your car? If you did, you are an absolute FOOL! There are like 20 different valve bodies out there, that is why there are no core exchange programs with any valve body builders.

Ok seems my problem was the vacume hose that goes to the intake. That being said I dont believe your problem is tranny related just bad timing. I just got my car back after installing my rotora brakes and tein coilovers and it has not reproduced the problem. just check all your vacuum/hoses. Good luck!
