I don't know what a Fuel Line Damper is, and I could not find any mention of it in the 350Z Service Manual. Did your dealer replace a part to fix the noise? Is there a TSB for this??

Yes, they tried the heatsheild first on mine as well. Then, they took the exhaust apart, which did not help. So, Monday they will install the new fuel pump. We'll see what happens. I'll post as soon as I have the verdict.

No, the dealership took the car in to replace the pump but then called me back and said that the dampner that goes with the fuel pump had not shipped from Nissan. So, they are going to call me when the dampner comes in. I hope to have the car back in the shop by Friday. I've never heard of a dampner in a fuel system...

Thanks for the update. Do you know if there is a bulletin (TSB) associated with this repair and what the TSB id/number is? Thx.

I think I am having this same issue now, during idle for the last 3 days I am hearing this tapping noise consistently and the first time i heard it i thought it was construction work outside and it wasnt obviously. It is loudest if i put my ear to the passenger floorboard....what was your guys resolution to this, i dont trust the dealer that much but might not have a choice

I have had this issue for a few months. My dealer found "no problem," but I remain unconvinced. I asked around and was told that TSB#R05050 describes the fuel line damper issue. Non of the TSB databases I have seen have R05050 listed, so I cannot confirm it, nor have I been back to my dealer to confirm it. If this fixes your problem, please PM me and let me know what you find out. Thx.
