The title says it all. So what do you guys think? Would it make a noticeable difference at all? I figured it so cheap so why not.

I went with ZEX 2 step colder, I also have NOS thats why I upgraded the plugs. but to be honest I dont use the NOS often and the plugs have been on the car for 7k miles and running strong so far.

There is no noticeable difference when you change the plugs

I've got about 25K miles on my car so far. So are plugs a waste of money if my car is NA? or would it still help? I dont plan on going F/I or Nos.

If the car has 25,000 miles and runs well, leave the sparkplugs alone.

stock cars got 5's. The number indicates the heat range. Higher the number, colder the engine runs.

Denso Iridium: http://www.z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?m...ine&prodid=494

Unless you have SUPER high compression or SUPER high boost, stick to stock heat range

if you push your car hard, 6's might be better than 5's..

as long as they do not miss fire, colder plugs should be better for ur engine as well..

The main reason why i regret getting iridium 5's is because my platinum was in good condition, and i knew they were in good condition before buying the iridiums. I got 5's and regapped it to 1.1mm. Since its getting hot here, 6's couldve been a better choice. Even service manual recommends 6's for hard driven cars.. so yeah

it will simply cool the cylinder temperature and plug temperature down. If the temperature goes up or down too much out of the optimum heat range you risk miss-firing the fuel mixture. This depends on motors but 5 is a HOT type. 90% of turbo or high compression cars from japan use heat range of 6 stock standard, and many NA cars with high compression (s2k, prelude types, etc) or high boost above 1bar run 7 even 8 in some cases.

What I found is that my stock platinum plugs were overheating at times, i could tell by reading the colour of the tip after i pulled it.
