How hard is it to tap an oil pan spacer?

Default How hard is it to tap an oil pan spacer?

drill and a bench vice.... that's what i am thinking. any advice? or helpful hints?

aluminum is easy, just take your time and use tap fluid ( I think that's what it's called). I had my ARC oil pan tapped for an oil sensor and watching the machinist that did it, I know I could do it if I had the right tools. Good luck! BTW - what are you tapping for?

I tapped my JWT spacer for my TN install. It was fairly easy, I didnt even have a vise, I had a friend hold it between his feet, lol. Its not bad at all, and I had never even tapped anything before....

Iam sure you have tapped a couple things before

Word of advice. Drill a small pilot hole first and then drill it to the hole size and then tap it!
