Absolutly NOT reccomended for daily driving, very very very harsh, you will hate life after 10 minutes driving it..

I've driven two of them, and they are near stock (sprung hub 6 puck). They grab a little more aggresively, but certainly nothing worse than any other performance clutch, such as the JWT, ACT, or RPS setups.

Your talking about the 6 puck design? You nuts?
We ripped through 4 stage 3 full face sprung hub clutches and finally went to a 6 puck and its much harsher than stock...

Yes. We even put an ACT unsprung 6puck on Nick's TN car, and it was suprisingly smooth! Ask McDuck....he has the FX400 with Jun flywheel..I am sure he can comment on this.

I guess your perception is different their ours. Nick can chime in and comment on his JWT flywheel with ACT 6 puck unsprung...VERY streetable, IMHO. JWT flywheels are made by Fidanza, so you guys are running the same setup.

i will let you know in the next day or 2. i got the fx400 w/ the 6 puck and even upgraded to the 3200lb pressure plate, and ordered it through sharif. the pedal pressure is really easy and not even noticeable. yes the hub is sprung so it will take up some harshness. waiting get my car back off the lift to actually drive it. i came from the tilton though, so it couldn't be worse than that!!

No not as bad as the tilton..the Tilton takes a bit more skill and patience to learn.

well i heard from a few friends that the 6 puck, i will never be able to get off the line smoothly, and will mostly have a hard uncomfortable motion and bouncy motion when it contacts and it wont be good for axles and everything else in the tranny, can anyone recommend and normal clutch, that is not a puck design(i guess thats what you call it) that it is like a normal fully rounded clutch, b/c i need to buy it by next week, i thought i had it covered with the fx200 but i guess these people arent as smart as they say, so any help, im getting a built motor in the car and i have the turbonetics kit and im probs gonna be looking at 550whp, when it gets tuned so i do need a clutch but i dont do alot of drag racing, i have never taken my z to the drap strip, only road course racing is what i do, sharif can you help me out with a good streetable clutch that is good for everyday but can still handle the power of 550whp, sometimes i play around and drop the clutch but thats a very small portion of the time

Ive got the ACT Extreme PP and 6 puck disc with a Fidanza FW in my Max. Its very streetable IMHO. Previously I had a Clutchnet PP and 6 puck sprung hub set up, it had allot of chatter. The ACT is quick to engage but dosent chatter.

A really good streetable clutch woud be the ATS twin disc clutch..Unfortunately it is $2000...I would say go with a stage 3 Clutch Masters for aroung $595 and call it a day.Unless you do some really hard launching it will hold up fine and I dont know how, but mine has held up with 530whp and 5500 RPM launches and a snapped axle on slicks..

stage 3 huh, that doesnt sound like a bad idea, b/c im not much of a off the line type of guy, sometimes i screw around but thats like anyone, and to this day i havent dragged the car and to be honest lol dont plan too, not really my thing, and i dont want to make turbo z's look bad b/c i can shift this thing but i cant launch it too well lol and i have 305's, so ill leave it to the drag people to give the z good qtr mile numbers and stick with a stage 3 clutch drving normally lol

6pucks will blow your stock tranny to hell, I had a 4puck on a turbo mr2 a while back after a few 1.8 60ft times that tranny was a done deal. They are very harsh!!

ok, put some miles on it today. drives like buttaaaaa....lol. it is so easy to drive compared to the tilton, there really isn't a comparison. i definately miss the tiltons throttle responce, but this thing is so easy to drive in traffic i almost fell asleep! hahhaa. now to see how much power it will hold!
i tossed the stock flywheel back in, and there is no chatter at all with this clutch and the stock flywheel. i am going to do a lightened flywheel very soon, but i fell it won't change the driveability much at all.
