Yeah, that was sorta my question
I don't expect a HP gain but I am wondering if I can get more spark then stock? This will come into play later to benefi a new chip I'm thinking. I want, more cold air, more fuel and more spark!

I hope you all know that the stock plug is platinum and the recommended replacement interval is 105,000 miles. I don't expect to ever replace mine.
Re copper having the lowest electrical resistance: True, but everyone uses resistor plugs for the street so this is totally insignificant. Even if you didn't, the amount of voltage lost to the resistance of the plug core is trivial compared to the thousands of volts needed to jump the gap. Copper is used in the NGK's because of it's good THERMAL conductivity. Again, it is not important because every spark plug has it's heat dissapation (heat range) adjusted to the engine requirements by adjusting the amount of ceramic insulation around the center electrode.
Most of the stuff you see about plugs is pure marketing BS. Splitfire is right up there with all the teflon oil additives. Take the money from the suckers, there is one born every minute.
If you are modding your engine and doing frequent plug readings the go with a cheap copper NGK plug. Otherwise fahgedaboutit.

My Zex Kit will be installed Tueday
I got called, all parts are in. Zex makes special plugs just for their kits (they must run colder) I will be using those.
Hyperperformance plugs
Hot Rod Imports is giving me a break on the price. Are they over priced? Yeah, do I need different plugs with N20? Yeah.

i found this older thread while putting some information together for some colder non-platinum spark plugs... not a lot of info out there on the Z33 yet...
here is some new info...
the stock plug in the z, as mentioned above is, PLFR5A-11..
this part is available on most plug sites, but no cross reference available, nor an explaination of the coding. (does not jive with any decoder available...)
so, doing some more searches i found this on courtesyparts.com:

2002 Maxima - A33
2001 Pathfinder
2000-2002 Sentra QG18DE 1.8 liter / QR25DE 2.5 liter SE-R
2003 Altima 3.5/2.5 liter

the proper application for the PLFR5A-11 is the IKH16 for Iridium Power and VKH16 for Iridium Tough.
the coldest plug (PLFR6A-11) would be IKH20 and VKH20 respectively.
and there is no application for the hotter plug.
