Default Another what part should I get thread.....

The time has come for a new go fast mod...

I have:

Borla TD
Injen Intake
Crawford Plenum

Now im highly debating getting Sways or doing another NA mod. I have all but ran out of ideas. I DON'T want to do headers (not worth 1HP for $1000). I got right around $500 saved up and I want something that doesnt have to do with ripping apart the motor.

My thoughts:

Unorthedox Pully & Engine Damnpner
3 Peice Pully kit
Engine Dampner & Samco hoses
Dampner & Grounding Kit
Grounding Kit & Pully

Keep in mind I am going for looks as well as performance.

Anyo other thoughts, I want the biggest bang for the buck... Perhaps an E-Manage and good tune?

I was talkign cheap headers. I do stuff the right way which means when I get headers it will be Crawofrd which = BIG money, not to mention $ for install which is a buttload.

What's the difference between HFC and test pipes, and what one is better. Also I thought the Borla TD came with some upgrades?

test pipes are really underrated, and the crank pulley is also a good idea

Only get N2O if you track your car and want to get some real 1/4 mile times. otherwise if you're planing to use the N2O for street use like me, forget it, its a joke and can cause you serious damage if you dont know what you're doing.

I would say get crawford HFC and UR crank pulley. very pleased with the gains.

Ran 100 shot N2O on a Cavalier for 2 years without breaking anything (only fuel upgrades). Im not new to it by any means. Plus it's illegal to use on the street.

What about these and these? Good combo?
Test Pipes
Pullys

Makes the engine bay look cluttered... Any way to hide the wires more and I would be down for one... Maybe next paycheck if the price is $59.99 shipped

Isnt this cheaper?
HKS Grounding Wire Kit

so $25 for that? thats not even a real HKS. they use 8 gauge wire....or worse yet....10 gauge wire inside an 8 gauge shell (ive seen it). all of my wires are 1500+ thread count. if you think my kit is cluttered, wait til you install THAT thing! You'll have wires going all over the place. Some of them too short and some too long!

they use aluminum....i use gold plate. gold is about 100x more conductive than almuminum. you also have to realize that there is a substantial cost increase between 8ga and 4ga wire. If i was using 8ga wire, regualr terminals (tin, aluminum, steel) i could drop the price of these kits by $40 or more.

Sure, a $10.00 kit is cheap...but they get you with the shipping. I bet that thing comes in a flat-rate envelope that costs $4.10 from USPS.

Just my $0.02

Anthony

p.s. as for my kit....you can pass the wires under the intake tube, and with the engine cover on it helps hide them. i also inlcude 3 zip-ties to keep them out of the way. it's not economical for me to make super long wires. true it would be super stealth....but it would cost ALOT more to run wires all over the place.

I ordered the intense power test piped and unorthedox pully with belt. I hope im happy.

hmm that's tough....i think both black and silver would look really sweet...

i'll say go with black, simply because almost everything IS black...plenum, battery covers, car, other wires. it will be more stealth.

*edit* i see thats a Crawford plenum? does it have the OEM bolt locations on the back of the manifold? theres one right in front of the throttlebody and one on the back side of the passenger side. just want to make sure you have the correct hook-up points.

Now) Resonated Test Pipes and 3.9 FD from Central 20. Hawk HPS brake pads.

Later) EMU and a good tune on dyno. But I would do the quality headers before that if I were you.

3.9 FD from Central 20
Thought about that, but it's kinda pricey and install is even worse. That's one thing I wont do myself. I have kinda heard good and bad things abtou this FD anyways. I want flawless parts.

sways and springs, and then later shocks.
Got springs and Sways I can get whenever.

I am ordering the Test Pipes and Unorthedox Pully with belt for now. Hopefully the next thing will be 3.9 and Sways.

Anyone know the price of the FD and aprox install?
