Scott Performance custom grind cams or Nismo Cams. please help CANT DECIDE!!!!
i would just like to know the specifications of both of these cams. if anyone has these cams on their car please feel free to comment. i really can't seem to decide between the two of these. any input is much appreciated. thanks!
if i go with the N/A cams, that means that i won't be able to use it if i ever decide to go f/i? does that mean i should just wait on the cams as of now? and was also wondering what the gains were if any of you know. thanks

IMO...if you are even considering going F/I in the future, I'd wait until then since they'll have your engine pulled out anyway for the install. This will save you some money & as you know, cam installs are not cheap. But if you still want do it anyway, I'd definitely recommend getting a fuel/engine management system like unichip or even a TS reflash in order to fully utilize those cams.

You will probably remember older posts where everyone thought the Nismos were 10.2 mm of lift, but no one seemed to calculate .426" to mm correctly. Thanks for the clarification. So it looks like the Nismos & JWTs are nearly identical. FWIW-The stock cam specs(non-rev-up) come in around 9.5 mm with 238 IN & 240 EX Duration, although I have heard of them being around 9.2 mm of lift

All excellent points to consider.

Zon,
You should ask ted what the specs are on those cams, I am real curious as to what they are.

he's quoting for the cams $1600 installed. but with an extra 800, bringing the total to 2400, i can have titanium valve springs and have my car be able to rev upto 8000 rpms no problem.
