I took my z for a test drive right after the oil change, at first the oil pressure was higher than normal when it was cold, but it soon warmed up and it was fine.
97supratt, good to hear on your switch over to synthetic. I also noticed that after switching to Red Line that my oil psi during cold starts (and the next 10 mins of driving) that it was high, close to 110 under accel and 60 idle, but it came down after the engine warmed up. It's normal.
The way I see it.. Amsoil, RL and RP's performance are all relative. I have no doubt that these 3 brands are some of the best you can buy. In the end, my decision came down to price and availability.
**Currently, 2k miles on Red Line 10W30 W/O burning!!!**

So do any of these fluids in the tranny make shifting noticably smoother? Going high quality synthetic is good for peace of mind and all, but kind of overkill on a daily driven, nin-abused car unless you can really feel a difference, IMO.
i know all the hype about the purple stuff is true and its worth every penny!! although i recommend getting gallons of that stuff on ebay and doing your own oil changes......Thread
