Default Carbotech brake pad update:

Hey guys, been a while since I posted an update on where we are with getting brake pads for the new Z. So here's the skinny:

Base/touring model:
The rear of the base/touring Z appears to be the same as the 2002+ Altima. The FMSI # is D905. At least when I got a customers rear pads to reline them Panther +, it looks EXACTLY like the drawing of the D905 in my FMSI book. The good news is my supplier has the plates and is sending me some samples to play around with. So the days of you base/touring owners feeling neglected are almost over! As for the fronts, I'll be ordering more plates, so we'll be able to make our Panther Plus/XP for your track guys and our new Bobcat high performance street material for those of you who want a pad that stops as well as the HP+ without the dust/noise/rotor wear.

Before I forget, I have 4 boxes of Axxis Ultimates on the shelf as of 1/29. Price is $73.

Track model:
I'll be ordering more front backing plates for you guys soon, so I'll be able to make more Panther Plus/XP for track use. Looks like only Hawk has street pads so far, but we can certainly make some Bobcats as soon as we get the backing plates in.

Somehow, sometime, we acquited a set of those pads in the past and seem to have a set of Panther Plus on the shelf for the front of the track model. Call me is you're interested.

That's all for now. I'll keep you guys updated form time-to-time...

Thanks

Matt

Yes you did. And they should be done and shipped today (1/30)

See you at VIR.
Can't wait. I'll be testing at least one new compound that weekend. See you there!
