Default Removing valve body ?

Anyone know what's involved. Do you have to drop the whole transmission?

According to the guys at SGP is is a very easy task. No tranny removal is needed. It's their VB you're getting, right? I think that the fluid will have to be drained out of the tranny though...

I haven't really decided yet, I was just wondering if it's something that I can do out of my garage.

drain fluid, remove tranny pan & unscrew 5-6 bolts. Sharif is sending me a picture of which bolts to remove & it'll slide right out. Pack it well though its actually fragile. I'll post the pic as soon as he sends it to me.

Honestly, I wouldn't risk it. With all the $$ you've dropped into your car, the swap would not be more then 200-250$. Not a bad price to pay and not have to drop several grand on a brand new tranny.
BTW, sorry for the highjack, but are you running the stock injectors and the fuel pump included in the kit, or not? Also, what did you do to bring the HP lower? Did you do so by swapping out the w/g spring for a softer one or what did the guys at VRT do? I know, you have a thread that deals with the TT kit directly, but you are paying more attention to this one now.

It is running the stock injectors with that boost regulated injector control magic that they are using. To be honest it's a little above my head how it all works, but it does work. I'll wait for the VRT guys to get back from the track to field that one.

The removal is not real difficult as mentioned above. There are some wires in there and some harnesses that have to be disconnected and such that make it somewhat of a pain to handle while under the care on jack stands. The reinstall and getting the tranny fluid back to the proper level are more of a pain than removal of the stock VB.

I just removed mine again and sent mine to SGP, because i heard their setup is better than the level 10 unit i have. The screws from the valve body are different sizes though. So i hope the threads are made to the size of the screws. Does anyone here know if that is in fact true, because i dont feel like having the hardship to figure it out under the car lol. Any information or pictures for the reinstall will be great.

Thanks Glen

I believe there are different revisions that you need to be aware of. Not sure what VIN the difference start at or what the differences are but SGP should be aware.
