ATS lsd
I'm looking into getting an lsd. I saw some talk about the ATS in some other posts. I was wondering what the "best" one out there is. By best I mean quietest, and has the most quality performance. If a little noise is needed to have the best performing one, then so be it. So quaife, cusco, nismo, or ats??
The ATS Carbon is the smoothest on the market, by far. Nismo is the grabbiest, the Cusco is moderate, but can be adjusted to be pretty quiet as well. http://www.forgedinternals.com/store...cat=270&page=1
Nismo LSD: loudest and most unsmooth because it uses metal clutch plates when it engages.
Cusco type MZ: Same as above, but little bit smoother since it features an oil thru system.
Cusco Type RZ: Springs are engaged first when it becomes activated, then the metal plates, so the engagement is lot smoother and quiet.
ATS Carbon: Same as Nismo and Cusco MZ where it uses plates to engage, but it is smooth and quiet due to the material being carbon.
I have both the cusco type RS and ATS carbon in my cars, both are pretty identical in performance.

Maybe someone others can chime in with their experiences.
