Does it go to the performance map? Please say yes.

Thanks

Yeah, I'd like to know. I see all these posts of people with sluggish cars gettying back performance after reset... I tried it and wasn't impressed. Seemed pretty tame after reset and feels like it's just starting to come back to life after a few hundred miles.

You're just getting used to the reduced performance

From what I've read, you basically need to drive the car at redline/WOT like a dozen or more times to bump it up to the performance map, that is, if you haven't been regularly flogging your car.

But it would be worthless for me to make an effort to bump it up if resetting the ECU just bumps it back down.

Someone here knows the answer to this question. Hopefully that person can chime in.

the maps are all about fuel quality and detecting knock

people running different octanes of gas will have different opinions
