it doesnt match the keyway perfectly and allows for slight movement on the crank and makes the keyway larger and larger over time. then the keyway will be so large that the puly will shear the key.
also i believe they arent cut rite and people bottom out the bolts in the snout of the crank and end up snapping the bolts off in the crank when they try to remove them...
pullies arent the best thing to do on our cars
ive seen myself and atleast a dozen others post in this forum and in tech and motoring as well. not to mention the probobly 20 ive seen come into my dealership for the problem

All interested or affected should read this thread:

Looks like KJR pullies do the same thing as the CNR. Also is suggested a possible fix that may be found at your local bearing supply shop... The sleeves that were mentioned earlier, that apparently do not require any machining of the pulley itself.

Ok, due to the cost of the sleeve and the fact that I already had a UR pulley in the garage, I decided just to use it and not sleeve my CNR pulley (I may do it later and resell it), BUT I did share all this info. with the Infiniti FX forum I moderate. There ws a GB on the CNR pullies there and many members were affected by this (none that noticed major leakage, but the problem is a ticking time bomb. At any rate, I shared the sleeve info. there and one of the members got his, had his mechanic install it as well as replace the seal and took pics of the entire process, which can be seen here:

not with my Z but I have had issues in the past with my eclipse with belt squeeling, however it was because the belts were too tight. Be sure not to tighten it too much!
