Default Quarter Mile Times

Has anyone taken their Z to the track? I'm wondering what kind of times people are getting.

full tank of gas, full car weight, 40degrees(poor traction) I pulled 14.199 at 99mph. it is definitly a 13second car if you ran with a quarter tank, took out the spare, and ran on a warm spring day.

oh and this was my first time ever racing, but for comparison it was faster than a mustang, S2000, and wrx. tho they were all also running slower than what you'd expect, the cold temps werent helping anyone unless you had drag radials and were willing to do burnouts(which I was not willing to do)

Those look to be really good times. What was your 60' like? I went to the track on a 100 degree day in August, so I got great times as well. Engines don't like heat, tires don't like cold. I had a 14.1 at 99.55 for my best that day. I have a good 1,000 lbs. on a Z, as Verts are HEAVY! Oh well, I would rather have a convertible than .6 or .7 seconds lower time in a 1/4 mile.

Uhm. 1000 lbs? No way. Couple hundred pounds at most. Z's are ~3200 lbs depending on the model.

mine was around 3350, my best guess, it read much higher so I subtracted me and my dad who were in the car, but we had a good amount of gear, 3350 is as high as I would estimate.

I did get a 2.199, but it was not on the same run as the 14.199. not sure what the other times were on each of those runs.

That is just the Verts. The coupe's are roughly 3600 pounds. No, that 4300 was just the weight of the car. I think on a day less than 100* like the day I went to the track, I'm going to break into the 13's easily. That and I have some plans for my Tax refund!
