Okay I notice this before but just recently when I was driving my car I notice in the auto screen where is shows what gear I am in there is an S next to the M for manual mode. Could some one explain what s mode is and how to active it? Thank you.

 

I think the "S" you are referring to is actually a "5" as in fifth gear. I'm not familiar with any other letters that are displayed, but I'll double check when I get int he car tomorrow. What year is your car?

 

2003 but I also noticed it on a 2005 FX35. Anyone else with an idea?
