Default Any stores carry Redline oils or does it have to be ordered?

Wanting to put Redline in my Tranny (50/50 MTL/MT-90) this week while I have the car up n jackstands waiting for new wheels and don't have time to order it. Do any stores carry it? I'm in Houston.

My other option is AMSOIL, but again, no time to order; anyplace I can get it local?

Did you try looking for a vendor on their website? I had Redline, but switched to Royal Purple Max Gear 75W-90 and it feels better (once warmed up). You can find the RP at most Pep boys also. Might want to give it a try?

Hmm, so you had the redline mix and like RP better? I based what I wanted on what I've been reading around and didn't like all the comments about the tranny being stiff with RP until it warmed up. I didn't see any commets like that about Redline. Would you care to elaborate more on how each of them feel?

Sure thing, the Redline would definately be somewhat nicer upon startup. But, I always sit there and warm up for 5 mins or so. Since I figured I wouldnt have a problem with RP since I do warm it up. The RP is definately smoother. The first few shifts are kind of clicky, but by the time Im out of the parking lot its butter. Very smooth.

Hmm, well, RP is deff. easier to find and it's convinient to use the same stuff in both tranny and diff, so I guess I'll go with it, then. My tranny is pretty notchy upon startup for the first few shifts, anyway, so I'm used to it; I guess I'd rather have smoother shifting overall than better startup shifts. Thanks for the input.
