Default Trouble starting up car

Never had problems with starting up the car but after I sent it to Infiniti to get my air filter changed, I've been having problems. The car would turn over fine and then the rpms would drop and the car dies showing the service engine light and all. My neighborhood had an instrument which could check for a vacuum leak and he didn't notice anything wrong. Could the air filter be installed wrong or the fuel pump is bad? Thanks for the inputs.

sounds like an intake leak...check the joint behind the MAF to see if it's sealing.

Sorry to bring back an old thread but I took the car back to the dealership and they couldn't recreate the problems. SOB's. Anyways the problem doesn't always happen. It usually happens when the car is warmed up. The RPMS would drop low and then go back up. The car doesn't die out anymore but it's still annoying. What would be going on?

i have the same problem...more than likely it's an intake/plenum issue or electrical. i'm gonna try in the next few days to try and figure what it is.
