I was looking for the same thing also. On my my fathers '05 Mustang, he was able to purchase a handheld reprogrammer that changed everything in the ECU from final drive ratios to how aggressive the automatic shifts to raising the idle from 750 to 1100. However, I have been told that there is nothing like that available for our Zs because the comptuer is too advanced for something like that. The only thing we could do is something like the AAM reflash to help our mods, delete the revlimiter and speedlimiter, air-fuel ratio, etc.

I would really like to have someone prove me wrong... so I can get a retune :-).

Doing something like a technosqure tune will change how the AT shifts as far as shift points etc...

To really change how the AT transmission performance as far as harder shifting etc, do a valve body upgrade from Stillen...

Yeah, that really seems like the only way to get your harder shifts... no ECU tune for us

what you really need is to invest in a stillen AT valve body upgrade. this will
give much crisper and faster shifts. this plus a 3.5 final drive will give you the
same or better than a traditional MT... IMO... just w/o a clutch.

Hmm would any of this cause warranty issues? Now what all do you need with the 3.5 final drive?

So basically it makes the car react faster to my shifts right? Basically it gets rid of the annoying lag between like 2cnd and 3rd I seem to have.

Also how does raising the stall limit change acceleration from a stop. I'm assuming it gives you more torque and makes it easier to break loose.
