300zx i actually have had a lot of experience with FI...my rsx type s had wiseco pistons, eagle rods, and a custom turbo kit with a precision sc34 and all the goodies...i was pushing over 400 with kpro...but you are right...too much work and money and i do not want to deal with that anymore...id rather have a decently quick daily driver n/a...so that is my goal...if i cant get to 300, id like to get as close as possible without spending 10k to get there...i bought my popcharger used off of here for 50 bux so if i shop wisely for used parts like test pipes and exhaust and all that i shouldnt be as high as slapping on a turbo kit

these are really the threads moderators need to close IMHO - not that they are not valid discussions, but it has been talked about in literally hundreds of other threads for nearly 3 years.
To date 2 we know of have done it here on the boards in NA form. Do a search and you'll find the info on their cars. Both involved some form of a build bottom end (either rods, or pistons, or both). No one has done in with a stock bottom end as of yet, and that may or may not change in the coming months.
There are several of us planning various builds in the near future in a quest to get to 300 whp NA, and we'll have to see how it shakes out.
Other than that, these threads really serve no purpose other than conjecture, often by people who have no idea what they are talking about. A bunch of bolt ons aint going to net you 300 whp - a well planned, properly tuned setup MIGHT, but till several people have done it, it's all just a guessing game. Then there is the other camp who will say 'why bother when you can go forced induction'. Like I said, take a small amount of time to search, and you'll see every single thread that started off with the "how do I make 300 whp NA" has ended the same way, will all the same people chiming in, and with little of it rooted in any sort of fact, or real world experience. The ONLY 2 people so far that we know of who have done it are mjedens (a long time ago now, and his car has since transformed into a 700 + whp twin turbo animal), and richie's down in OZ (who's got as much time, money and effort invested in his car as anyone else I can think of, regardless if they are FI or NA).
Seriously though, and I don't mean this to be rude, but spend 30 minutes searching and all the same discussions and details on the cars have been well documented.

No its not your fault its ok to make threads after all thats what these forums are for. If people dont like certain ones no one is asking them to read them in the first place.

Theres more garbage to go through with people responding with a search comment, it makes searching nearly impossible. If people would just answer the question in the same amount of time it takes to respond and tell them to do a search, there would actaully be less people asking the same questions over and over. ; )

Short answer, i dont think most ppl would want to daily drive a 300 rwhp NA 350Z because it would likely have a very light flywheel since your clawing for every single hp.
