Default need some opinions on my 5AT

well after getting minor n/a bolt-ons (k and n typhoon, stillen true duals, kjr crank pulley, and 5/16" iso-thermal) i cranked out 228whp on 4th gear and 242whp 3rd gear for my 5AT.

https://my350z.com/forum/engine-and-drivetrain/214469-dyno-d-my-5at-w-minor-bolt-ons.html

i'm not sure where to go from here. i was thining of cams but the cost turned me off, plus my wife and i were planning a trip so that's out. i was looking into a header set up like DC (since i live in cali, CARB approved) and find a place that installs for $300-$400 found a few here in l.a.). my a/f ratios were pretty solid at 13 all the way through 4.5K rpm .....then from 4.5K rpm to 5.5K rpm my a/f ratio was close to 14. some have suggested a reflash. but with my a/f so close to 13 would i even benefit a tune or just keep adding more breather mods? a TS flash is $595 in torrance. i'd try utec but the closest utec tuner is around 70 miles away and i can't seem to find a unichip tuner around or know of any, plus with my light mods i don't kow if i can justyfy getting a stand alone.

let me know what you think...

Before you get a reflash or utec you should get test pipes or hi-flow cats and some headers then think about the utec.

It reduces your top speed to aorund 160mph from 170mph, but you get there much quicker.

3.5 Fd Made Me Feel Like A Owned A New Car, Big Differnce In The Way The Car Pulls.. I Have To Shift About 5 Mph Sooner From 1st To 2nd At About 31...2nd Gear Takes Me Above 60 And 4th Gear Pulls The Way 3rd Use To W/ The 3.3... I Have Not Maxed Out Top End, But You Will Still Hit The Governor I'm Sure..it Is Just A Swap, Would Be Hard For Someone To Mess That Up...go For It. You Will Be Happy !

Just make a new post asking if anyone in your area wants to swap yours for theirs. Most people have a taker within a week.

No. The 3.5 Has no adverse effects on any of your electronics.

The only reported differential problems are some folks lost cruise control when switching to the 3.9 on a 5AT, but no problems with the 3.5

There are two versions of the 3.5 Pumpkin, Open Diff and LSD. All Z 5ATs are LSD.

Yes, a Z diff will work in a G. And yes, from what others have said, you'll probably drop .1-.2 sec in the 1/4, all other things being equal.

if you're going to be swapping anyway, why not just go for the 3.9 and max out your potential? just wondering since i will also be doing this sometime in the near future.

Based on what I read 3.9FD will kill your MPG, especially on the street.
