Default Question on engine compatibility

what year Maxima/Altima engines are compatible with the 350? I know the intake etc are different but it's my understanding that the longblocks themselves are the same.

Can anyone verify which years/models the 350Z shares a longblock with?

the longblock on the maximas is similar, but has diferent motor mounts spots... it won't fit.... only the Z engine will fit a Z without heavy modification...

I think the Maxima engine sits differently than the Z...does the Z' sit vertical and the Maxima's sit horizontal?

no they don't. the Maxima/Altima is transversely mounted due to being FWD, hence the different motor mount locations on the FWD block.

the RWD is obviously RWD mounted.

350Z is compatible with the G35 coupe and sedan ( awd and rwd ) motors.
