350Z smokes when WOT
I've noticed this, but seeing as how I don't normally flog the car I usually forget.
But anyways, yesterday I went wot through 1st, 2nd, 3rd. And my buddy driving behind me brought it to my attention again.
I was wondering if this is just excessive fuel being thrown to it? Wonder if it's tuned that way from the factory to be safe?
I asked one of my friends who has a SE-R Altima and he said his does it as well...
Just curious. Thanks in advance guys.

If you don't rev your car every now and then, it basically gets choked up with all the soot. This is what is coming out when you go WOT. Suggest you change your driving habits and add 500 rpm to your upshift point.

. thick white smoke, smells really rich.Sells rich or smells a little sweet? I am asking because if it is doing that bad, it could well be a blown head gasket. Either way, doesn't sound good. You might want to have your Z checked.

most all stock cars are designed to run rich on the top end to help fight off detonation. nearly every single car will do it on full throttle. it is a good way to tell if the person your racing is flooring it, or just messin with ya, lol.
+1 I raced an M6 the other day and it had a little black smoke coming out... it normal it means he's giving in a lot of throttle and all cars are made to run a little rich to dodge detonation
Made me feel good knowing he was pushing it
