That's a pretty broad statement which in the wrong hands could lead to blowing a motor.

Do these "others" include the ghost "monster" build from that guy in Illinois?

no...not everyone with alot of work done to their cars is on the boards. However I know of several cars in the works right now with various NA setups - real cars, owned by real people

Lot's of difference between [fairly useless published] static compression and actual running compression [cam duration, lift- valve flow vs reversion during overlap period].

A honest way to evaluate compression effects is comparing torque creation per liter/per cubic inch.

Back in the leaded gasoline days engines were lucky to create 1.1 lb/ft per cubic inch today we get 1.2-1.25 lb/ft per ci .

it's not apples to oranges at all (you're both saying the same thing by the way), but you're WAY over the heads of 99.9% of the people here, and, also saying the same thing as I did earlier, with the compression going hand in hand with all the other selected components, and tuning.

Back in the leaded gas days, HP was also way exaggerated compared to today's SAE standards.

I was just making it clear to those that may confuse the two that CR remains the same through out the life of the engine --give or take a 1000th of a point, whereas Compression decreases with milage/wear/failures etc.
Just a clarification.

sorry man...I'm not spilling the beans on anything until its installed and tuned you can disagree with my doing that but I have my reasons. It's been a long process and it's at the tail end now, and I just want to make sure it works as we think it will before revealing anything

not to worry - assuming everything works out as we hope it will, we'll be sharing tons of pics, dyno sheets, maybe even a video or two In due time though - we've been at work on this for while, and I'm excited to see the results

Well since z1 is mute, I thought I would share something. I popped in an old BMI video from japan last night cause the cable was out. And the esprit 350 and many others battled it out on a track. The other z's had basic bolt on mods, one was a turbo, while the esprit z had the boltons, exh., headers, computer, plus high comp. pistons, and cams.

The esprit z was great! It was taking everyone and got first place, even against one of the turbo z's. The incar view showed how it pulled like crazy in the high rpm's. Really kinda turned me on.

So in short, I will have that setup soon!
