unless you have a high compression motor (which 10.3 is not) you will not benefit from running more timing than 93octane can handle.

Well a good example is in Wired 24/7's thread, when installing MRev2 AND 5/16spacer on NONREVUP motors, if you are running 91 octance, sometimes 93 octane is better until you have a tune.

Also, davidv: No i haven't been to the track, going within the next few weeks! It will be my first time

That is what I suspected. Performance mods and tune and race gas are all cool, but none will will improve ET better than the driver.

I was referring to a stock tune, not a tuned vehicle. If you have your Z tuned for optimum power on 91 it wont gain any power on 100 octane unless it is a hot day and the ecu is retarding timing because of minor knock.

Again, I was referring to stock tune and yes you will gain power in the sense that you won't be losing any power due to knock.
