Default RPM at 1500k at startup normal?

Hi All,

Is it normal at a cold startup for the car to be reving at 1,500k, I thought typically the car revs at about 1k or right below 1k? What's everyone reving at?

Mine does that too, I'm pretty sure it's standard warm up procedure...

After it warms up it'll drop. It's normal unless it doesn't drop when the temp gauge rises to the mid-point.

Turn it on, and watch it for about a min. You'll see that it slowly goes down. I think the computer automatically does that to warm it up properly. I always give my car 30 sec of idleing at startup (when it's cold) before I drive it.

Idle at 1,500 rpm during startup, like most have said on here, is normal for the Z. If you think that's high, the Lamboghini Gallardo idle at as high as 2,500 rpm when cold
