Default My new KN pop up is lame???

I instaled the KN cold air intake Typhoon Kit, and... i realise that in acelaration it has better trotle reply... but in high speed it is a disaster... before the KN installation i have reached the limited top speed some times, but now i can´t, not even close, it makes that nice sound of all intakes but it just doesen´t go faster...
i´m begining my mods and in europe for the Z they are all $$$$
ok i gain a litle more acelaration a very nice trotle soud ... but where is the top speed???

any one has some ideia or comment?????

Are you at a higher elevation? I Noticed some top end issues abive 130mph with the Typhoon, but it was minor and I rarely took it up above that. Down below that speed it offerd a good bit of improvement and some great sound.

yes... is has great sound... but 130 mph ? this is my day drive speed !! not joking !! before instalation i was doing no problem 150 mph (+/- 250 Km/h) and for 2 times the speed limiter stoped my injection at 260 Km/h (+/- 158mph )now with the KN pop C. it takes much more time to do 250 Km/h... it feels like its not "breathing correctly" like if it has too much air !!
I´m a litle confused!
I´m thinking that i should do a remap on my ECU...

?????

I don´t know if it maters but in Portugal the Z with no mods, has +/- 265 RWhp on 98 oct. gasoline, i run 100 oct gasoline...

Any modification in from of MAF cannot affect air flow much as there is so little oem restriction 1-1.5% ABSOLUTE MAXIMUM.

Changing the shape of the air flow can miscalibrate the MAF causing serious problems.

Here is my suggestion:

get a few more mods such as a plenum spacer, high flow cats or test pipes, and an exhaust if you want one.

Then send your ECU to technosquare in california, USA and they will reflash your ECU to give you better performance.

+1 I'll drink for that.... man i think u by logic u r running rich now coz of the ammount of air going in and then the ECU didn't realise it yet so u need some more mooding or atleast a headers and a cutback to flow out the air ur geting in..... I don't know thats just a theory...
