2nd: Repurchase of car.
3rd: If engine replacement is required, I would like an extended warranty to go with it.
I held out till the day before the hearing.
NNA said in my State since they hadn't been able to attempt to fix the problem that I would not be awarded a newer vehicle that does not have the OC problem nor be granted a repurchase.
They said they offered the extended warranty not because they thought I would be awarded it from the arbitrator but in the courtesy for customer satisfaction.

Blackstone also seems to offer analysis by Dyson, so it seemed a bit confusing to me.
Thanks for any help.

Blackstone/Dyson, agree a bit confusing. I think that way Blackstone would only do lab work then send to Dyson for the higher quality analysis/interpretation for customer than Blackstone would with their basic services. I just went directly through Dyson per your link.
Just a quick update on my V2. Just under 500 miles, oil still at 11 mm below H. Again, that's what it started out at, so we think the dealer didn't put in the extra 0.5 quart for a new engine. I'm still revving it throughout the entire RPM range, but not bouncing off the rev limiter or anything of that nature. Trying not to run at constant RPMs.
what is everyones thoughts on the V2? to me it seems a little sluggish, kinda feels like my car lost its spunk. it does run a little smoother though, just not as rev-happy.

But, I was thinking about this the other day, and thinking that a lighter weight oil, (like the recommended 0W40) would possibly help remedy the consumption problem. Should I really change to a lighter weight oil?

That doesnt sound right at all.
No complaints so far, can't judge the revs yet, still breaking in. I have noticed two positive things:
1) No more pinging at lower rpms under load, had this from day one with the old engine.
2) No more Head gurgling sound when you first start the engine as the valves are starved for oil presure.

Was told prior, could be up to 3 days depending on their current work load, which wasn't my case with them.

Alrighty...I just bought my '05 a few weeks ago. Ive put about 450 miles on it thus far. I checked the oil last night after reading much of this thread and its at about 3/4's of the way to the H mark on the dipstick.
Im going to take it in soon to my local Nissan dealer and have them start the oil consumption test to see whats up.
I'll keep everyone posted as to what happens.

I never said anything about wanting or needing a motor. 2 weeks later they called me to bring the car in, and they gave me a 08' Pathfinder rental (no cost to me). Thanks to Great Forums like this to do all the hard work for me.
