OC TEST UPDATE: 425miles in.
I'm getting crazy idle engine noises now so I decided to take it to the dealer for a quick "check". They previously told me that I could stop-in anytime for a "checkup", but when I showed up this morning, they said that I must have driven at least 700miles before they can check it, OR if the engine oil light comes on..
–was wondering, does anyone know at what level (how many quarts), of the oil must be at for the light to come on?

Guess it's pretty dead here on peeps wanting to know how the freshly built engines are doing on oil consumption.
I will post up my used oil analysis soon, just sent off another sample.

Update on my new V2: 1100 mi, 4 mm loss. had its first oil change + an inspection. I noticed an intermitant metallic "snap" coming from under the car or the left front suspension when I come to a stop. I thought they forgot to tighten something, they "diagnosed it to the drive shaft or transmission. New drive shaft did not fix it so they ordered me a new tranny. Should be in for install next week. This will be the second tranny swap. I suspect the suspension but who cares its their nickel. I'm starting to flirt with the idea of a buy-back, 2 engines, 3 trannies, new head unit.

I had so little oil at one time on my OC revup motor that it barely drained out half a quart... no oil light.

I had no light and a nice BOOOMB to make me realize I had chewed up 5 qts in 1400 miles of Mobile 10/30...although the 0/40 has proven very well in the VQ35DE blocks....im anti Mobil after many years of good results in other vehicles....thanks NISSAN!
New motor will never see that brand again. Pensoil Platinum Full Syn 10/30 FTW!

I think my V2 is consuming.
Around 300 miles I checked my level and it was at 11mm. I did research on here and concluded it was probably because the nissan techs didnt put in 5.5 on the initial fill.
I filled about a half quart at this point (because that's all I had lying around) so it was somewhere around 6mm after the top off. Well now I'm a little over 1000 miles. I checked again yesterday and again this morning, I'm back at 11mm.

My latest Used Oil Analysis from Dysonlabs
Just got back my Used Oil Analysis from dysonlabs.......woot..woot..
Looking very nice.
I will post up the raw data on Resolute's UOA sticky for his interpretation that I can post or link to here. Will is always dialed in with dysonlabs interpretation.
This is the best I have ever seen on my engine with 11k miles on a freshly built engine. Break-in is almost finished...time to romp on it, is the word I got from the lab.
Will keep you all posted.
