Known V2 install recipients and their results:

1) Dbasal - maybe not fixed.
2) Theatrix - not known (I've PM'd asking for results)
3) RBlover - see above
4) 4Shizzil - appears to be complete success!!!
5) Zmaximus - still consuming
6) Antennahead - still pending
7) Creationv2 - dont know yet...only 100 miles
8) Hexxum001 - G35 with V2 motor - so far so good

Yes, aware of " break-in " oil consumption. I am checking for "excessive" consumption at this point. Once break-in is over the real test starts.

just give her a good break in, my last test using 0w40 synth will be my determining test. 75 dollars for that oil change so better be worth it lmao. Good luck guys, the more we knew about everything the better off we will be to solve this issue.

I was thinking wouldnt it suck to lemon the car and recieve another oil consumption Z lmao. THat wouldve been tourture lol. Probably wouldve gotten a 07 actaully. lol good luck and post updates.

Oh DB no prob man, did u switch to synth yet. Try 0w40 mobile 1 or 0w30 amsoil amazing oils so far in the vq35de and vq35der

ONE MORE THING WHEN THERE CHANGING THE OIL MAKE SURE THEY CHANGE THE Fccccking filter. I went to a place where i seen some shady **** where they charged him for the oil change poor sap didnt know about cars it seems and they changed the oil and left the old oil filter on. That sucks....dont be taken aswell. I usually ask for my old one then throw it out. Im from NYC before i came to florida this is a common tactic. Also....you guys cars are fairly new do not let them get u for clearning ur throttle body or cleaning the injectors. lata brothas lol

I actaully wanna see some revups make power so hopefully we all get finished with it and start our own thread of revups reaching 300 rwhp or modded out man. Since our engine is preety limited as is.

I'm actually experiencing the oil consumption issue now. Getting ready to take it to the dealer to go through all of this also. If I hear anything different I'll be sure to post here.

No doubt about this. I know a very shady shop here in the Dumfries, VA area (Total Auto Repair & Motorsports) that does that very thing. He actually uses a sharpie and puts a line on the filter. When you have two lines (meaning you've done two oil changes) then he changes your filter. Of course he charges you for a filter each time.

All engine parts from what i know are not being supplied from new mexico but a plant in japan. Ima check the part numbers.

so far all parts look like they come from and are built in Iwaki, Japan , none of which are made or supplied by newmexico. The reworked piston and rings are the result of handbuilt engines preassmbled there and shipped here in a small number since the oil issue isnt a issue that all revup owners or S1 owners have , since the s1 and the revup are basically the same setup.
The pistons and rods that are bad aren't from New Mexico, they're from a new plant in Mexico (the country, not the state). The tech I spoke to said that his dealership has been ordered not to do ANY engine swaps. They're not evaluating on a case-by-case here in Vegas. He says Nissan NA doesn't want to keep replacing bad motors with other bad motors. They're waiting until a permanent fix can be found.

Yea ther probably not been informed yet. Call corporate after getting the BB involved that will get ur case specialist changed with a more responsive rep. Then they can start have discussion of the new motors. It took awhile for me to get the ball rolling but with the florida district attorney writing me back and his secratary on my speed dial and all of us getting in contact with NNA Further channels thats how i was able to get them to get me on that list for the motor. A permanant fix was found .though it just cost nissan 10k to do it every time plus transport. And u have to be really persistant and digilent. they told me that in the beginning when our master tech here really wasnt upto date on what other dealership expierences where with this motor issue. because there all alien to eachothers doings.

9,000 non forgiving miles since April. Not a drop lost. Just made the switch to full synthetic, ran OEM recommended until a few weeks ago.

FYI my engine was one of the lucky handbuilt ones from accross the pond.

Using Penzoil Platinum Full Syn Blend now.....cross your fingers!

One thing i was told was to make sure that ur engine isnt a rebuild revup . because the issue will just reoccur most def. But to make sure its the V2 or the handbuilt version. U can also tell by the part numbers im told and by the bolts being silver not bronze from what my corporate rep at nissan descirbed. My engine came from japan to newyork shipped from there directly to univeral nissan in florida after making stops at jacksonville from what the manifest was told to me. None of which was ever mentioned nor described as anything given to them or made in the US for the fix for these engines.Since the problem is often replicated in just replacing a revup with a none v2 revup. They have word not to swap engine for engine, since delears are eager to do so because its almost a 10k job in this situation. To order these limted engines that are limited in supply there is actually a waiting list. I actually waited a month for mine ....and acutally knew when dbais engine came in because they told me 2 engines where shipped to florida but coming in from different ports.
hey thats some good info. by any chance were you able to also find out which bolts those are that would be changed? are tehy easily visible when opening the hood, or are they bolts that are behind or under the motor?

I have not changed yet. My car has been sitting for a lot of time these days because I am working from home. I also read that thread on the oil results and felt it was a great thread. I was looking at the amsoil option. Last time I switched to syn, the whole thing went to you know where so I am a bit concerned doing it again, but I'll get over it and make the change.

With all due respect, if they know that the pistons and rings are bad from the Mexico plant, then they know what the problem is, and shouldn't be waiting on a "permanent fix" to be found. The permanent fix IS to manufacture good pistons and rings and give us an engine with them in it.

Hey guys! Out of the country at the moment and justed on for a moment. I saw the list and have to say that I haven't had enough time to evaluate yet.

I will be back in the States next Tuesday and will put some miles on.

Checked the Oil this morning. It was low. went to Infiniti. They checked it. It was low. They kept it to do compression test. IT FAILED> 180ish in 4 cylinders and 160ish in 2 of them. He said should be 190 across all 6. So they contacted Infiniti about replacing it.
The good news is there is a Version 2 of the Reved_Up motor which is what I will get.

This is on an 06 G35coupe 6mt with 9300 miles

Well, here's my update on my new V2 engine: Good and Bad:
Currently have 498 miles on the engine, no loss of oil, still 1/4 under H line on (wonderfully engineered) oil stick. - Good news

Took the Z to 140 mph last night on the way to the office. Checked this morning oil still good!! - Good news

BMW (w/ a passenger) passed me up (twice) like I was standing still @ 140!! What the f@#*!!! - Bad News!!

Life passes you by fast, a BMW even faster!!!

Well, it was an older M3, maybe 2003-05. Two you kids. We raced for about 5 miles. I couldn't catch up to the bastards at 140, so he was gracious enough to slow down, just so I can read his license plate and smell his smoke. That just guaranteed...........twin turbo ordered for XMas!!

Oh yes!!! Unfortunately the M3 will kick your butt. Now get a TT and you will kick a stock e46 M3 easy.
