Just thought I would show how my 2005 Automatic Z did. I have a motordine 5/16 spacer, KNN shortram intake, and RS-R catback exhaust. My A/F ratio didnt need adjusting. We did 5 pulls.

My Z has the 287hp engine

259 is not really all that bad for those 3 mods man! Thats actually pretty good imo. keep in mind that its 259 to the wheels. And stock you probably had 235-240hp. Now your up anywhere from 20-24HP with 3 mods. nice!

Your Dynojet corrected graph shows 30+whp than Dynamometer readings.

I've been wanting to know forever if Dynamometer numbers are indeed lower than Dynojet numbers?

I just dynoed at 255whp on the Dynamometer...does that mean I'm pulling
285whp on Dynojet?
I highly doubt it..the car doesn't feel like it has 285whp

If anyone can fill me in on this it would be nice.

It would be best to do a direct comparison to another Z on the same dyno, same day, but 259 equivalent on a Dynojet is good!

The 'uncorrected' number is just what you got on Dynamometer?

The uncorrected are straight Dyno Dynamics numbers.The corrected numbers are a simulated correction of what a Dyno JET brand would read, or should read.

Yea that's what I thought.
So you're saying there's 'supposely' about 30hp difference between Dynamometer and Dynojet?
Seems a bit drastic to me...

I dynoed at 255whp on Dynamometer, and I'm pretty damn sure I'm not gonna
dyno at 285whp on Dynojet.
Last time I dynoed on Dynojet I got 255whp, two days later I dynoed 240 on Dynamometer
which was equivalent to about 15whp, give and take 5whp depending on the variables...

Despit the #s, I am amazed by how flat the torque curve is... I rarely see this kind of torque curve in a VQ, it usually starts to drop after 5k rpm and drops drastically after 6k rpm

It looks good from that graph.
However, the dyno graph is up to 400hp, so if you
scale down the graph to around 250-300hp range it will
show less flat, but more detailed torque curve.

Your A/F graph looks really good though.

ill fill u in. seems like you arent sure what brand you dynamometer you used and there 4 cant make any kind of comparisson between that and a dyno jet or any other brand for that matter. even though comparing different dynos dosent really mean much, dyno jet is seen by some as industry standard #'s or/and they tend to read higher so it gives a fuzzy fealing inside when you see your numbers like the 1 you get after eating a boston cream doughnut

I do know exactly what kind of dynos I used.
All I wanted to know was if Dynamometer reads higher or lower than Dynojet.
Just like how Mustang Dyno gives higher #s than Dynojet.

What Brand is a Dynometer? I never heard of it..Generally there are the brand names Dynapack,Mustangdyno,Dynojet,and Dynodynamics...There are others but these tend to be the most common. A dynomometer is the name of the device, so all 4 above would be just that.
The difference between a Dynodynamics and Dynojet is about 13%, and this seems to be dead on give or take 5 hp or so. So in fact, its not as simple as adding 30hp, but a 13 percent increase to your Dynodynamics number to come up with what one might "EXPECT" to see on a Dynojet.
Also, there is no way a MustangDyno gives HIGHER numbers than a Dynojet.MustangDyno's are some of the industries lowest reading dynos.

+1 on the low reading Mustang.

All the Mustangs I know give much lower numbers than Dynajet.
It doesn't make any sense, but I've seen people dyno on a Dynapack and two weeks later dyno on a Mustang and they get all pissed off thinking their car lost 50HP.

Its all relative to the frame of reference. Different measuring systems will yeild different numbers.

Thanks for clearing everything out for me as far as Dynamometer, Mustang, and Dynojet measuring differences.
My fault on the Mustang Dyno part, I was completely the opposite lol.
Dynamometer I was talking about is of course Dyno Dynamics brand.
Like I said before I know 100% what dynos I'm using, and I know that dynamometer is a general term used for above 4 brands and more.
I expected when I said Dynamometer(with capital D & comparing it to Dynojet)that people will know automatically that it's Dyno Dynamics,
but I guess not.

Like I said before all I wanted to know was the power difference between
Dyno Dynamics(err..) Dynamometer and Dynojet, in which you've said around 13%.

Why would you think people would know you were talking about a Dyno Dynamics dyno because you capitalized dynomometer? All dyno's are dynomometers. There are Mustang dynomometers, Dynojet dynomometers, Dyna-pack dynomometers and Dyno Dynamics dynomometers.

Yeah the 13% is about right on on most cased I have seen to date. This % was provided to us by the manufacturer during training as an approximate % difference from DD to DJ.
