I had that very same "trusty little gem" and the fu(kin scissor broke while lowering the transmission on my F-150. Crushed my arm and pinned me to the garage floor. There's a reason it only cost $55.00. There is a hydraulic model available for about $175.00 which is much safer. I understand there is a difference in weight between the Ford tranny and the Z tranny, but why take the chance.
I agree to certain extent, for those that don't know anything from harborfreight or those cheap "made in china" tools should be considered as occasional use tools only. I'll probably use it a few more times and although its rated for 400lbs I wouldnt feel to confident using it on a big 300lb tranny. I think the Z's trans is about 150lbs.
