Default Looking to add just a bit more power....

I'm looking for 330-350 flywheel HP WITHOUT breaking the motor open. To add insult to injury I want it between 3k-6k RPM.

I'm thinking headers, Y-pipe, crank pulley, larger throttle body, and ECU flash.

Is my goal attainable with these mods

I already have a Crawford plenum and Cats. A Z tube as well.

Keep in mind, I said flywheel horsepower. I figure this to be about 265-270 at the wheels.

You CAN get between 260 and 270Hp to the wheels with bolt ons and with out cams.

1. Headers
2. Exhaust
3. No cats
4. Plenum
5. Pulley
6. Lightweight Flywheel
7. Utec ( good tune )

With Cams expect between 285 and 295hp to the wheels.

This is going by what i have read. I dont have cams at this point, someday i will.

Hope this helps

Todd

Out of a G35? I don't think it can be done with bolts. Does anyone on the board have that strong of a G with bolt ons?

So you guys are telling me that you CAN NOT get 260hp to the wheels with a G35?

I think you can, I Know you can.

Sure he can get there with a super charger, but thats up to him.

Get the Fast Intentions Intimidator exhaust and the resonated test pipes. Those two are good for 21hp and about 18tq to the wheels. Get headers, intake, mrev2 and a tune and youre set. Youll be at 270 to the wheels no problem

All of that is theoretical, that's on paper. He puts all that stuff on and could wind up with 12 hp.
Look at all the mods i have, i gained maybe 20hp with all that stuff. So, it's not a given, thats just manufacturers statements.

No i'm saying with bolt ons, can't be done. Sure a G can get there but, i'm saying bolt ons on a G won't get there.

Maybe I'm being a NOOB here but please explain your position on this. Somehow you are saying that a 350Z with an identical motor and transmission will always make more power than a G with the exact same mods.

Again no disrespect, I am a NOOB

i don't know why but, a G will almost all of the time dyno less than a Z. I've seen it first hand a number of times. For whatever reason, they put out a little less power. I just don't think you can bolt on that much power on a G.

You can w/out a sc, but again you have the usual arguement; just comes to total money spent vs total hp gained --- and therefore sc or whatever type of FI will always win out

That is of course unless you only want like 10 whp or whatever

the warranty is only up to 36K orginal miles. If you have 35K miles on your car and buy their warranty it is only good for 1K miles.

Stillen has fine print that not many people read.

thanks for clarifying this m8t =]. I think it still is a good very safe kit... add cams and good tune and you can be close to 330-340 whp withe xcellent responsiveness and extremly safe...
