Great idea but you really cant run them on the street. That would be a RACE DAY only type of deal. Every message board I have ever been on someone mentions those 6packs. Ive yet to hear of ANYONE using them
well,.I've seen a bunch of Honda guys(honda-tech.com)that use them--not all,...but some on their street car---but your right mostly on the track cars--Wonder what those babies cost--I know 4 cylinder's are like over $1500+ so I can imagine what those will run?$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Looks like a Tommy Kaira special too,..so if they are anything like Nismo type tuning company--then you can bet on $2300+ for those puppies!
2: it is a under the hood set-up--but for the Z It will probably require a new hood--not sure,..can't really tell & yes a little hot air but--but damn look @ all that air its gonna get!!!!
I believe it has some sort of mesh filter inside taht you can't see--not 100%--alot of HONDA guys have them--most drag INtegra;s!
1. How do you possibly filter the air with something like that?
2. Is that a under-hood setup? Would it fit? Wouldn't that aspirate hot air ?
This acctually look much like the new Dinan setup for the M5. this replaces the full intake manifold so with the curve they may be no taller than the stock height of the manifold and fit right under the stock hood. As for filtering, the Dinan uses a carbon fiber plenum that draws cold air, that would be pretty hot
Originally posted by supra crazy isnt the 350z throttle by wire how would u use those if there is no cables running from the gas pedel to the throttle body
Just the opposite. throttle by wire means there is no longer a cable actuating the throttle, it is opened electronicaly by a servo. In the case of these ITBs there would be 2 servos opening each row of 3 TBs
