Default MSD Dashhawk?

Has anyone heard about this? Apparently, it plugs into the OBDII port, and can monitor all the normal OBDII parameters, like many other systems, but it can also meaure 0-60 and 1/4 mile times, as well as clear codes.

Here's a link: here

I know there are a couple of other prooducts that do this, but none this size, that will also clear and display codes, and measure acceleration. Anyone have any experience with this?

the can communication on the nissans make it very hard to find a compatible unit to read the info. only one company i know of outside of nissan has the software to do it, and for the life of me i can't remember them right now, lol.

CIPHER supports all that, but I don't think it does 0-60 or 1/4 mile times.

Yes, I know CIPHER does all that, but it doesn't display very well on my carPC screen, and I would really rather have a seperate screen for all that info.

Well, that depends. Do you mean because it won't read the CAN bus? All that means is that it won't have the huge amount of information CIPHER does (which can read the CAN bus)

However, it still reads the standard OBDII protocols, which all cars are required to adhere to (include Nissan/Infiniti) by federal law. So, it will still show all the same info as your informeter, as well as displaying the OBDII codes, and clearing them, and also display the acceleration times. Your Informeter doesn't read the CAN bus, nor does the cheap OBDII reader you can get at AutoZone, but both of those still read the standard OBDII codes on any Nissan/Infiniti.

Anyways, I think I am going to get this and try it out.
