Yes there is a coolant line that heats up the TB . This kit bypasses it . Good in the summer or warm climates .

thats wut i was thinkin.

however a friend of mine (mind hes gm certified) runs coolant in his tb on his gto during the warm months, and it gives more power, but u run the risk of running either 2 rich or 2 lean. and u cant do it in the winter.

but i dont get how this would mak an improvement/ the only sort of cooling system involved w/ the tb that i can c working is water injection in the intake piping.

coolant runs through the tb, by bypassing it you dont run the hot azz coolant through it hence cooler air, and yes as booger stated only do in warm climates, as in colder climate this would allow ice buildup.

Don't some of the plenum spacer kits include a by-pass?

I heard adding a volk sticker adds around 21 whp. So by getting two for $10 you gain 42 whp. Not bad at all.

BTW Nothing on ebay works if it says XXwhp!!!!

this mod doesnt really give you power but it can help you from losing power in the heat. i wouldnt do this if you're living in an area that can get into sub freezing temperatures frequently. i had this done to my car and ive had no problems in 20F temps.

yeah, the iso thermal kit comes with a bypass valve. if above 55 degrees u leave it closed, below u open it. it does make a big difference, compared with my friends kinetix i atually run a lil cooler to the touch.

Coolant keeps the TB from icing up in cold weather. Deleting it is great in the summer, possible dangerous in the winter. You can do the same thing with Lowes or some Autostores parts if you like. I have done it on my track cars in the past. Never bought anything from ebay to do it.

Why hasnt anybody ran nitrogen threw the tb. You want cold that would do it and you could set it up on NAWS solenoids like that inline cooler kit, But I doubt that makes any real power as the air charge is not there long enough to loose any real temps.

I prefer the kit that comes with motordyne spacers to that thing...

because the motordyne one isn't a permanent bypass

let me get one thing straight...you will NOT gain power. But yes, you might help prevent power loss due to heat soak. Like, a little tiny bit.

8whp is not going to improve your 1/4 mile time three-tenths of a second...

I have the Iso Therm Plenum from Motordyne and it comes with a similar kit, which was specifically designed for the Z/G. It does work but not 8WHP!!

I dont know if you would see a difference on a dyno but in a track setting it would help out substantially!!

I have it set for off all the time there is a little switch to turn it on but my car doesnt see anything below 40 degrees. Having coolant run to the throttle is only needed for cars in cold conditions.

Personally I would get the Iso therm plenum or call motordyne for their set up dont get this off EBay unless you know someone personally that has this installed on their Z!
