Default loud screeching engine noise... HELP!

guys, I really need your help. I was trying to install the plenum spacer and I got about half way into it when the sun went down. So, I put everything back together (never even had a chance to install the plenum).

When I was done putting everything back together, I turned on the car and it started screeching real loud. The idle was low and if I didn't gas it, it would die.

I figured that it might be something with the air intake because it was coming from under the stock intake tube but nothing was loose.

Can anyone help? I live in Alhambra and if someone is local, I'll give you some cash to help me fix whatever it is that I screwed up.

Help

sorry, I am really stressed out...

Earlier tonight I tried to install the plenum spacer. I removed the strut bar, removed the upper plenum, and removed the air intake but the sun started to go down. Instead of going any further, I figured that I would just do it another day so I reinstalled the air intake, the upper plenum and the strut bar.

Before I went back into the house, I turned on the car and it started to screech very loud. I got out to see what was wrong and the screeching was coming from under the air intake, but nothing was lose.

I go to school 25 miles from home and I work about 30 miles from home so I need my car up and running ASAP or else I am screwed.

I really need your guy's help right now. What do I do?

I checked all the connections and everything is connected. And the battery was disconnected while I was working on the plenum so I don't think that it has anything to do with the alternator. I wish I had my camera here so that I could record a clip of what it sounds like. frustrating!

similar thing happened to me. Make sure the plenum is laying completely flat and there is nothing in between. In my situation, i was hearing a whistling sound while the car was on, turned out to be a piece of metal lodged between the plenum and the metal piece it sits on.

You probably didn't seal everything right. Maybe it's an exhaust leak? You got a torque wrench right? Torque everything back according to what Motordyne says in their instructions. Becareful not to over-torque and in the order shown. You should be alright.
