Default Odd problem. Brake and Battery light staying on.

Checked codes, there are none. Brake fluid is not low, brake pads are not worn. All the fuses are good. Brakes work and battery is charging according to the volt gauge. Brake lights also work. I put a utec in but its bypassed, on map 0. I pulled the utec out today at lunch and connected the stock ecu, the lights are still on so its not the utec according to that. I have also reset the ecu but they are still on. The car drives fine so no idea wtf is going on.

Has anyone ever seen this happen?

Hm 70k members and no one has seen anything like this as warning lights. I think i have it narrowed down to my alternator.

This is a dead alternator, guaranteed.

I had this at 35,500 miles. Yup, right before the warranty went out. The dealer said that battery plus brake light is the classic sign of a dead alternator on many Nissans.

By the way, my 2003 always had a lope at idle from day one. After the new alternator, it went away permanently.
