go FI, do it right with good internals, etc. and use that wasted gas into power.getting a high horse na is cool but harder to do.plus the added benefit of the BOV.gotta love that sound.
if you want to go FI look uo Sharif in here, he knows his stuff.

If you wanna be broke and dissapointed go all motor.
If you wanna go broke but end up with an ear to ear smile go FI its a pretty easy choice.
Go with APS or greddy twin kit w/utec, Im kinda partial to twins right now but Ive heard mostly good things about the turbonetics kits with mixed feelings on the PE kit mostly customer service issues.

my NA z.. makes 284whp and my fi z, much more.. like them both and it's actually a hard choice... NA, it's more of a challenge in street race situations, and with my FI z, you can't even tell if others are really racing you (even when they're flooring it), cuz you beat them by a ridiculous margin. Only challenge you'll get would be setup races, with FI.

I originally was going all motor and bought all NA parts and later decided I wanted more of a gain, but nothing crazy. I'll never really need 600+whp for a road course, autox, drifting, or even the street (don't really street race people in the city) so I went with a vortech supercharger and it's been a decent compromise so far.
If I had plans for an eventual 600+whp or was really into drag racing I would have gone with a twin turbo. But that's not to say you can't always throw on a 100-200 shot of nitrous for the 1/4 mile with a built block
That said, I still had fun with the NA setup, but it didn't really pin you back in your seat very hard

If you go NA....
1. get every mod available(including clutch and flywheel)
2. gut your car
3. get it tuned
If you have no plans on doing #2 don't waste your time..just go FI
Even the most basic FI kits will give you more power than a NA car ever could(well maybe except for a Stillen stage 1)

I've never thought of it that way in regards tot he money-fun ratio. That's great.
Yeah, if you have the money, go forced induction, preferrably turbo from the start. APS, Turbonetics and Greddy all make excellent kits. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of them just make sure you have a good EMS system like a Greddy E-manage Ultimate, Utec or Unichip and you will be golden.
If you keep an eye on boost pressures as well as your air\fuel ratio you will have thousands of miles of fun on your stock motor (considering you don't beat your car often).
