Question most bang for buck

I am wanting to increase the performance of my 350z as I have been a little unimpressed with its power so far. Was just wondering what I can do to provide more horsepower without having to spend thousands of dollars.

is your car even broken in yet?.. Also ifyou ever feel your car is slow, sit in someone elses car or drive someone elses, then get back in yours..then you'll see.

injen or aem CAI, remove the resonator, grounding kit, more free flowing muffler (flowmasters). Go on a diet and loose 40 lbs.

Injen = $250
flowmaser = $100
resonator removal =$20
grounding kit = $40-90

Is the Flowmaster actually more free flowing than the stock muffler? Does anyone have the design of the inside of the stock muffler? I would like to see that.

naws? whats that?

nitrous on the other hand is great power for not much, but you only get it when you want it, its not like a pull out of the driveway, and feel the surge. but Im sure you know that.

grounding kits dont give hp gains, not that have ever been shown.

intake and exhaust are about what you have. but actually losing 40lbs really would give the most gains.

oh and if the 350Z isnt fast enough, try the pedal on the right, thats the gas.

All it takes is common sense and tuning

Not to be a post-***** here or anything but... Honestly it dosen't even take tuning if you just see what other people with your car have tried and install an appropriate size jet. Nitrous is so simple and safe its ridiculous. I'd buy nitrous before I'd buy a CAI (might suck up water), just to show you my confidence in it.

This is where the common sense comes into play, choosing the correct jet size for your application. On higher shots of nitrous is where the tuning aspect comes into play

I bought nitrous before I had a header and exhaust...still don't have the header yet

Being that my previous car was an M5 with 400hp/370tq I'm constantly reminded that the 350z (at the moment) doesn't have the same power. I'm always longing for some cost-effective mods to come out to put it at or above the M5. I'm certain that in a few months there will be the mods available to put it above all the other M5 mods. The top NA mod, the Dinan S2, put it at around 470hp. The top FI mod, the RMS SC M5, was about 500whp or about 600 at the flywheel.
