Default Performance vs Track

Alright, first off, what are the differences between the performance trim and the track trim. I know the brembos and the aero kit (which can be purchased right?).

Second, are both of these trims in different classes in SCCA autocrossing? Also, if I were to upgrade the performance to the likes of the track, will I be bumped out of stock class (I assume I would).

Track Model comes standard with the following (the Performance model does not):
Brembo Brakes
Aero package
Light alloy wheels

Sure, but for more than the price difference to get a Track off the bat.

No.

So long as you used factory parts, no (last I read the SCCA Solo2 rule book.)

Just get a Track to start with.

Is the 5AT less expensive than the 6MT in the touring model because of the 17/18 wheel difference?

Alright, exactly what type of brembo brakes do they use for the track model? Is it the Gran Turismos? Also, what color are they? On one of the pictures I have seen, it was gold (on a LeMans Sunset Z).

Second, what type of wheels are used on the Z (I know they are made by the same people as the TE37) and what are the weight differences between the TE37 and the track model's wheels?

Thanks in advance!

the brembos are gold...i don't know what they were thinking, but it looks arright, it's still brembo...wheels, i think they were 18 lbs(?) made by rays engineering...

imo, the track model is to "generic"...I like it, and I think it's a great car, but not worth the extra 4 g's over the performance model...i know it has the lightweight wheels and brembo's, but I rather buy better looking rims (lightweight) anyway (not that the rays are ugly, just not my style, plus by going aftermarket you can stand out...)...the brembos, they're arright, they're not the greatest brembos, but they're still real good brakes, if i were interested in performance brakes, again i'd go aftermarket for obvious reasons, imo brembos are great breaks (top of the line), but i think you pay more for the name...

i would get the track model, but i rather have a performance, get aftermarket rims, and i could still have money for stoptechs... (might end up spending a little more depending on what the rims cost, but at least the car won't look like every other track model Z)...

p.s. as far as the "aerodynamics kit"...i know what nissan claims it does, but do you really beleive that those little peices (fiberglass, whatever they're made out of) are worth the $ they sell it for? if it was really effectice, wouldn't they have put it on the z (standard), or configured it onto the body (since it's so small)

I was under the impression that all the areodynamics kit does is lower the DC by .01 which is pretty insignificant.

I was in a autoX with 2 other Z's. Mine, a performance was in the B stock class as was a touring. The other Z, a track was in the BST class not sure why, but he was. I asked him was the car stock, and he said it was.

Thanx for in info. BTW, since I am completely ignorant on the topic of autoXing, what exactly is the "T" in the BST class. B class Stock ???

Okay, well BST can mean different things!

BS-T Street Tire running on a B-Stock index. This is actually a very wise thing to do if you are using stock tires. You end up competing against everybody in Street Tire, and most of them suck

B-ST B-Street Prepared. This basically means that car has been modified in some way. Could be suspension, wheels, engine, etc.
