Default question about changing pumpkin and going turb

hey guys i have a 5at z and im interested in changing out my pumpkin with a 6 speed. The problem with this is, is that i want to eventually go turbo but this wont be for a good amount of time should i just go ahead and do the exchange or should i just keep waiting and waiting till i can go turbo and is it really that bad to turbo a car and have the 6 speed rear pumpkin. If i decide to go this route i would like to exchange rear pumpkins with someone with the 6 speed.

How comprehensive of a turbo build/install are you going to do? What are your whp goals, and how much do you plan to spend?

Built motor or stock?

I haven't read too many complaints from 6 spd owners around 400whp level (although your 1st gear might still be worthless at WOT), but the higher HP guys tend to go for the 3.3 FD gears

Well I Want To Be Around 400whp That Would Be Good Enough For Me I Dont Want Anything To Extreme Because I Want To Have Some Type Of Reliability With The Car. Im Not Sure How Much Hp The Stock Motor Can Hold If It Can Hold That Much I Guess I Will Be Building The Engine Up. As Far As How Much I Want To Spend Im Not To Sure Was Thinking About 10,000 But I Know That Is Probably Just For The Kit And Installation But I Will See When It Happens Might Have To Take A Loan Out. I Know This Sounds A Little Crazy But Im Trying To See If The New Skyline Motor Will Be A Swap If So I Was Thinking About Taking A Loan Out For That Swap That Would Be Plenty Of Power For Me If It Become Possible And Also I Have To Consider That Im A Auto So I Will Have To Beef Up The Trans With A Vb Upgrade So It Will Shift Ha. I GUESS THE QUESTION IS AT WHAT HP LEVEL DO PEOPLE START GOING WITH AUTO GEARS IN THEIR 6 SPEEDS.

In my opinion, if you're aiming for 400whp then just keep your pumpkin for now and swap it later if you really want to. Don't waste money on that right now.
