Mototune break-in... is it too late?
I just got my Z a few days ago, it had about 20 miles on the odometer when I picked it up from the dealer. Now it has around 200. Is it too late to start following the mototune break-in guide? I was told that this way is better than the owner's manual guide.
If it's not too late, basically I just accelerate and bring the RPMs up as much as possible and let the engine deccelerate itself while taking it easy on the clutch, brakes, transmission still, is that right?

breaking in an engine by running it how it's going to be run all the time is getting to be a popular breaking procedure with a lot of engine builders. I broke in my vg30dett engine that way and it runs flawless with no oil loss. I don't see the point if an engine is built correctly in babying it for the first few thousand miles. I didn't redline my engine or anything but I boosted occasionally and would make sure the rpms never sat in one range for too long. Helps the rings to seat in quicker.
