Oil Filters?

Oil Filters
Without a doubt, WIX makes the best filters!!
Any Fram filter is as big of a piece of crap as the OEM Nissan filter.
Go to NAPA and get a NAPA Gold oil filter...(made by Wix)
It's the best protection you can buy in an oil filter.
Mobil 1 is probably the best oil you can readily buy also...
However, I would not suggest using any of their 0w-30,40 products. Those are only for extreme situations!! (like living in Siberia).
The fellow on this forum using 0w-40 is doing a horrible dis-service to his cars...
$6 NAPA filter + $25 oil

I like the K&N. I'm using the HP1006. The stock filter, and the K&N HP1008 are a little small. I called a K&N tech, and he told me the pressure specs on the HP1006 were the same as the HP1008. Used it on my last change, and it works great, It's about 3/4" longer and a wee bit larger OD.

The M1 and K&N are both made by Champion Labs, not the spark plug mker, and are excellent filters. Nissan OEM filters are not crap and are used by most of the SE-R cup racers, including Kojima. FYI, the SR20 and VQ35 take the same filter, and uses the same pump as the VE motor. M1 0W-40 is damn fine oil and is not for use in cold climates alone. That was an incredibly ingnorant post earlier. Check this site for all the info and more you can ever want on oil. The forums are gold and there is an analysis done on a VQ35 in there.
