Im thinking about getting UDR pulleys, I was wondering if you can feel a big difference? and how long would it take to install?

Feel +5 out of 300 hp, probably not.

Probably take you an hour to install just the crank pulley, maybe two hours for the complete set.

took me less than 1hr for the crank pulley, and another 2 hours for the acc. pullies...the alt is a pain to get out. It's really hard to actually *feel* mods around below 15HP...but pullies are one of those mods that are known to work. I have UR's pullies and love them. There's been reports of problems with other companies pullies, so do your research before you buy.

*there had been a special on the UR under-driver pullies w/ belts awhile back from one of the sponsors...you might want to check the marketplace.

I definitely felt the power gain, no doubt.. I'm a total pessimist and didn't think they'd do anything.. pulley and testpipes were the best gainers for me.

What about A/C power scavenging? Will the pulleys rectify that? IE when I do the pulley, will it keep the A/C from stealing power? (Lack of a better description sorry.)

Any new belt needs to be tightened after a while. All belts stretch

All accessories steal power - the UR crank pulley makes it so they have less to steal.

the largest contribution to power gain at the wheels from a new crank pulley it's polar moment of interia being lowered (it weighs less)...UR states somewhere on their website that only a smal portion of their power is made by under-driving (making to outer diameter smaller) the accesories.

in the end, it's a similar mod as getting a lightweight flywheel.

Hal,

Is that the Underdrive pulley or just the lightweight one. Based on what I see on your website, it leads me to believe that it's the lightweight crank pulley of the same diameter as stock.

if i got all three, will there be any unnecessary sounds or noises? such as squeeling of the belts or any such things? any problems with these UR pullies? I know you would really only need to get the crank but i really just want to get all three.

BTW, will the alternator go out sooner with these? thanks.

I have all three and have no noises. I have heard of some problems with some brands of pullies, but it seems that the UR pullies are the best.

I've been interested in these for a while, but been afraid cause i have heard of pullies causing you to leak oil?? Why is this?? I've put them on other cars before, and i cannot see how they would cause you to leak oil. Thanks!
