Ordered up some HP.

.That extra 12 lbs of torque in the top end will help greatly. Right at 5.5K rpms too...very nice.
are ya done yet, are ya done yet, are ya done yet. I am soooo anxious to know what it laid down on the rollers this time. I was disappointed at first to see that the headers did not produce more in the low rpm range and then i remember that i really could have used about 10-15 hp at 6500 rpm this afternoon against a modified firebird.
Dyno sheets will come tomorrow but I *think* it was between 2-5 extra HP at different places. Someone want to gut the back cat and see if it produces the same results? I am leaning this way myself!
I'm willing to try it but I just bought this car two weeks ago and my exhaust is entirely stock. I am heading to Atlanta next weekend to do a baseline dyno and I would have to get someone there to do it or either wait to come back home and gut it. By the way, is it better to cut it in half, gut it, and weld back together or "clean" it out from one end? I had some friends who did that to a honda cat once. Yeah, its redneck. but it worked.
Yeah, I would just take a steel rod and chip it all out. That’s the only way I know. The problem is the cats are high dollar so if it does throw codes or anything of the sort then you are out money either way. Because the O2 sensor is between the first and second, I bet Nissan just threw it on there as a nicety to the environment. It probably just catches the extra filth on startup until the first cat heats up.
Since everyone has wanted to know what the hi-flo cats did... here you go.
4.9HP at high RPM... once again, we've made power where we need it! Most importantly, across the board on average no power was lost... it either made fair to great gains! Check out the bump around 5750!!!

I wonder what numbers your headers, combined with an Injen True-Dual exhaust, will pump out..
Think it'll be another 20rwhp on top of the headers alone ? Or you don't think they can stack up like that.. ?

No, if you get X hp from one mod and Y hp from another mod (assuming you do them separately, w/o the other one on the car), it doesnt mean that you end up with (X+Y) hp if you put them both on.

Because ironically enough...
Lets play with numbers...
Base = 100
Base + X = 110
Base + Y = 115
Base + Y + X = 128
Point being... I've seen cars with certain mods, and then when mixed can act as multipliers... Hense that exhaust MIGHT be nice, but when coupled with headers get SICK. Then vice-versa... the headers aren't ANYTHING without the exhaust.

it could be:
Base = 100
Base + X = 110
Base + Y = 115
Base + Y + X = 128
or maybe:
Base = 100
Base + X = 110
Base + Y = 115
Base + Y + X = 121
Of course it'll all depend on what mod you're talking about. Do you get what I'm saying?
Please keep us posted on this - I would be more than interested to hear results - or even be the test case with my G35SC....
Thanks!!
Thanks!!
