I love it! I think rather than sending money for the swap, we should send money for a video camera so you can post plenty of footage! Good luck

it was an offer i couldn't refuse.....it helps to bargain when they already sent a transport carrier that's sitting outside your building

yes....paypals can be used for video camera whatever...i just think that it would be pimp to say the whole community built this car

Don't know if you have seen the build your own engine section of that site yet but here's a link:

http://www.gmperformanceparts.com/Ho...s/build_it.jsp

Its pretty cool you can build the engine and get and estimated dyno.

183lb for the LSXX 6.0L block if its the 5.7L might be a little more then that.
130lb for the VQ Block

Including rotating assembly on both.

so about a 40LB dif.. but this is just the short block

I've been wondering when someone would go down the L route. It works great in the FD crowd, why not here?

The block he is using is iron. The ls1,2,etc. is aluminum. Are you sure that is the correct weight for the block he is going to use?

I beleve so the aluminum LS1 block might be lighter then the VQ but I will have to check.

Really awesome, this has crossed my mind but I am in to deep with my turbos and rebuilt block again to do this. Have the guys take some pics, mostly interested in the mounts and the wiring should be interesting. What trans choice are you going with? a t56?. Should sound wicked with that chevy shaking the pavement. Any specs on the cam? headwork?
